Countdown is on!!

Not to something exciting as such, the countdown is on to my end of semester exam. 8 sleeps to go to be precise.

I want to say I am confident it will go ok, but I'm not. I want to say "I am definitely going to pass" because I am so sure I will, but I can't say it. I love this unit, even though it is dam hard, I am enjoying every minute of it, but the sheer volume of information to learn is incredible and how on earth can I retain that much information??

Breath. In, out, in out........crap start breathing again.

I am so incredibly lucky though to have such a brilliant husband. Today he took the kids to the park, cooked dinner and made sure I had time to study in peace. What a champ. Love him to bits, even when he does leave the kitchen tap dripping constantly :P

Ok moving on, stop thinking about the exam until tomorrow.....

Happy Mummy's Day

Happy Mummy's day to any beautiful Mummy's that pop by and see this! (Though being completely new to this whole blog thing I doubt anyone has even seen it yet!).

What a week it has been! Tests and assignments due at Uni, my son deciding to rapidly expand his vocabulary and a beautiful mothers day with my kiddies.

So my beautiful boy has been slow off the mark with talking, it frustrates the heck out of him, but he is getting there. The last few months have seen his vocab extend from 6 words to probably over a hundred. This week saw his first completely recognisable sentences! Two of them in fact. 1 - Mummy, where are you? and 2 - Are we there yet? Could potentially be ones I don't want to hear so often but right now they are the best sound in the world :)

I was woken up on this beautiful mothers day morning to 2 gorgeous kiddies giggling their way into my bedroom and then being woken up by a card jabbing me in the eye, might have hurt but it was adorable. They were so excited!

My daughter (4yrs) had her first mothers day stall gift, nail polish, the toe separator thingys and nail art stickers. We are going to paint each others nails this afternoon. My son (despite me saying gifts were not necessary) had gone with Daddy and picked out a lovely new charm for my pandora bracelet. He was a very proud boy when he gave it to me.

Onto breakfast with the in-laws, lovely morning, lovely food and brilliant company. Then later hopefully on to have dinner with my gorgeous Mummy.

And now for something I rarely ever do, I am going to go and have me a nap!
